GARDAÍ ARE CONTINUING to appeal for information over an alleged incident of serious assault that occurred just after midnight on 28 July in Co Wexford. Gardaí are now looking to speak to a male who is understood to have come to the assistance of three females on the night of the incident.

Gardai have appealed for a male who came to the assistance of three teenage girls who were allegedly seriously sexually assaulted to come forward.

The alleged attack took place in the early hours of Sunday, July 28, near Courtown Harbour in Co. Wexford.

Five youths are understood to have been accused of the assaults, with one of the girls said to have been held down by one male while another raped her.

The girls, who were on holidays in the town, were treated in hospital after the attacks, while gardaí carried out raids at locations in Kilkenny and Waterford in the days after. However, the suspects were not present.

Those under suspicion are from Kilkenny but have links to Waterford, and had been socialising with the girls, who are all from Dublin.

It is understood the youths have been identified through CCTV in the town of Gorey and by witnesses.

Yesterday, gardaí said they were ‘looking to speak to a male who is understood to have come to the assistance of three females on the night of the incident’ and thanked the members of the public who had come forward so far.

Passengers of car left severely shaken following alleged hit and run in Drimnagh . The scary incident happened on the Davitt Road in the Dublin 12 suburb at around 2.30pm on Monday. The passengers of the car that was hit were taken to hospital but thankfully did not have any injuries. The driver of the car that allegedly caused the hit and run then fled the scene, but it was later recovered by gardaí. In a post on a local page, the car that fled the scene was described as a Black 05 Honda Accord and an appeal was made for dash cam footage.
