A man in his 50s who died following a workplace accident at Dublin's docks has been named locally as Nicholas Collier.

The truck driver died at around 10:30am on Wednesday morning after being hit by another vehicle while unloading a fridge.

Nicholas (Nick) Collier from River Valley, Swords and Glenwood Road, Raheny is survived by his loving wife Trisha, sons Sean, Conor, Darragh and Cillian, dad Tom, mother Mary, brothers Eamonn, Tony and Cathal and sister Selena.

He will repose at his home on Friday, August 16, from 6pm to 8pm.

Removal will take place on Saturday, August, 17, to St. Finian's Church, River Valley arriving for 11am mass with burial afterwards in Dardistown Cemetery.
