A man in his 30s has died after being struck by a van on the N7 in Dublin . The incident happened inbound at Kingswood at around 4:15 this morning. He was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later. The road is closed to allow for a Garda technical exam to take place.

The driver of the truck has been taken to St James’ Hospital with minor injuries.

The collision involving a motorcycle occurred at 9.45am on the Malahide Road between the Artane roundabout and the junction with the Kilmore Road inbound.

The pedestrian, a man in his 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene. His body has been removed to Dublin City Mortuary for a full post mortem examination.

The male motorcyclist was taken to Beaumont Hospital with minor injuries.

A pedestrian in her 80s has been killed in a road crash in Ranelagh in Dublin this morning. A truck was reversing down a laneway when the woman was struck shortly after 10 am . The incident happened at Ranelagh Road and Chelmsford Close.

A pedestrian died Wednesday evening shortly after being struck by a vehicle on North Capitol Street in Northeast Washington, according to D.C. police. The victim died at a hospital. Police would not say if the pedestrian was in a crosswalk or had right of way at a traffic signal, nor if inclement weather

The stretch of road remains closed to facilitate a garda forensic examination with diversions in place.

Gardaí in Coolock are appealing for witnesses to this incident to come forward, particularly any motorists who were travelling in the area at the time and may have dash cam footage.
