A serious road traffic accident has occurred in Dublin city centre.

Gardaí and Fire Service were on the scene at Eden Quay and a section of road was cordoned off for a time.

"I saw an ambulance as I was passing by the scene. There were a number of gardaí keeping onlookers back and the road was blocked," said a passerby. "It appeared that a bus was involved."
