Officers shared the image from the single car collision on Twitter and urged motorists to take care while driving in wet conditions.

Miraculously, nobody was injured but the silver car which lay on its roof in a ditch at the side of the road following the crash was left destroyed.

Gardai said: "DMR West Roads Policing attended this single car collision in Lucan, Co Dublin recently.

"Fortunately no one was injured but please take care in wet conditions and allow plenty of time to brake in inclement weather."
