A tourist robbed at gunpoint in has hailed Ireland as a "wonderful country" and insisted she plans to return.
Italian teacher Sylvia Piantoni and a teenage student were set upon by thugs wielding a "gun" near theon Monday.
The teen's wallet was stolen in the frightening incident which was caught on CCTV.
Sylvia said: "Despite this bad adventure, I would like to thank the Irish police and the Government for the support we received.
"In Italy, incidents like the one that happened near the Guinness Storehouse are quite common.

Two thugs rob a pair of screaming tourists at gunpoint in broad daylight in Dublin city centre on Monday. He told RTE Radio: 'Basically there were three men and they were 'Two males armed with what is believed to be a gun , allegedly stole a phone from a pedestrian. No injuries were reported.
Independent Councillor for Dublin City Mannix Flynn described the attack as "casual criminal terrorism on the streets of Dublin".
He told Liveline: "[Dublin is a place] where people can point firearms at those who are just going about their business.
"I know the gardai are restricted with resources but I don't know why the place wasn't saturated by the emergency response unit.
"What I'm most concerned about is the victims in these situations. I really hope they are being looked after by the state authorities and by their families.
"These people's lives were threatened and what is believed to be a gun was pulled on them.
"That is a regular occurrence on our streets and in our housing estates. It's not acceptable."
A man has been arrested in relation to the incident on Long's Place, Dublin 8.
He is due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice at 10.30am on Friday.
A spokesman told the Irish Mirror: "A man in his 30s was arrested in relation to an incident of armed robbery on the 21st October 2019 and is due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice today, 25th October 2019 at 10.30am, court 4.
