A mystery note handed to a priest may help shed light on the disappearance of Jo Jo Dullard.

Saturday marked 24 years since the 21-year-old from Callan, Co Kilkenny, vanished.

She was reported missing while hitching a lift in Moone, Co Kildare, in 1995.

Now a clergyman hopes the anonymous letter which he received will help to shed some light on her tragic disappearance.

Fr Willie Purcell from Kilkenny said: “It was an anonymous letter but I brought it straight to the Garda.

Speaking to KCLR News, Fr Purcell revealed he got the note after he issued an appeal last year for information on Jo Jo’s disappearance.

She was dubbed “the girl in the phone box” after she was reportedly snatched from the roadside near Moone, Co Kildare, while hitchhiking back to her flat.

Fr Purcell yesterday attended a remembrance ceremony for her at the statue to missing people in Kilkenny Castle grounds.
