It appears the male driver began driving again while using a driving license under a different name.

However, over the weekend, gardaí nabbed the motorist who will now face a court appearance.

A garda tweet said: "‘If ever there was a Chancer! This lad decided to give himself a 2nd Chance’.

"Driver disqualified after receiving 12 points produces new fake licence under a different name. Car seized and driver facing a court appearance."
