  Senior garda is suspended for allegedly taking 'secret photos' of female colleague A chief superintendent has been suspended from duty over allegations he had taken "secret photographs" of a female colleague and then allegedly distributed the photos to other gardaí. His suspension was announced after a long-running internal investigation headed by Assistant Commissioner Michael O'Sullivan.The officer is based in the west of Ireland and he has been under investigation for alleged bullying and sexual harassment against his younger female colleague who is a civilian member of the force.

Gardai are investigating threats made against FAI staff at their campus in West Dublin.

An email sent to staff last Friday confirmed that the organisation was “working in close partnership” with officers from Blanchardstown “in relation to a number of postal incidents”.

It is understood that threats were made in letters received last week after the FAI published revised accounts.

FAI interim executive lead Paul Cooke said that “certain safety measures in place purely as a precautionary mechanism”.
