Two arrested in connection with death of homeless man Timmy Hourihane in Cork
Two man have been arrested in connection with the death of Timothy (Timmy) Hourihane, a homeless man who was killed in Cork city in October. Timmy Hourihane, 53, was discovered unconscious in a ‘tented village’ in the Mardyke Walk area of Cork city on October 13, when Gardai responded to an alert that one of the nearby tents had been set alight.

GARDAÍ ARE INVESTIGATING a collision involving a man in his 20s who died after crashing into a wall in the outskirts of Cork city this morning.
The incident occurred at around 2.45am on the Glenville Road, Ballincrokig on the northside of the city.
Emergency services were called to the scene. The man, who was the driver and only occupant of the car, was treated at the scene by paramedics.
The road remains closed as Garda Forensic Collision Investigators are examining the scene.
The body will be removed to Cork University Hospital (CUH) for a post-mortem examination.

A man has died after his car crashed into a wall on a rural lane. The 38-year-old hit a wall while driving down the single track lane near Lobden Golf Club in Whitworth, Lancashire, at about 04:00 GMT. He later died in hospital. A 35-year-old passenger is in a stable condition in hospital.
