A second 13-year-old boy was viciously assaulted by a teenage Dublin gang who are feared to have as many as ten young members.
The innocent teen, who is from Meath, was repeatedly punched and kicked all over his body at the footbridge connecting the Liffey Valley Shopping Centre and King's Hospital in broad daylight on Thursday.
He suffered the vicious beating after he tried to defend his close friend who was belted by one of the gang members.
His pal, Jody Campion was left seriously injured after being sucker punched in the back of the head by the heartless teen thugs who are said to have members no more than 16-years-old.

The second boy's mother - who wishes to remain anonymous over fears of a repeat attack - said he tried to pull up Jody before he was ambushed by the group.
She told Dublin Live: "He was savagely beaten by this gang simply just for fun.
"The two boys had phones, new shoes, new Christmas clothes on but nothing was stolen from them."
Four of the teens set off from Meath on a bus to Liffey Valley for the first time by themselves to see a movie but when the film was sold out, they decided to get the bus back home again.
