  85-year-old man killed in road traffic collision in Offaly The collision happened at about 6pm this evening.Gardaí in Birr attended the scene of the incident which involved a pedestrian and a car in the Mountheaton area this evening at approximately 6pm.

Two men have been taken to hospital , one with serious injuries, following a two -car collision last night. “The passenger, also a teenage male, was treated for injuries not believed to be serious and taken to Walsall Manor Hospital as a precaution.

Two teenage girls and a man in his 50s were taken to hospital following a serious two -vehicle collision earlier this morning (Tuesday). The crash happened on the Plantation Road between Gilford and Lurgan shortly before 8am.

Two young girls were raced to hospital this morning following a single vehicle collision in Lucan.

The other occupant of the car, a man in his 40s, was also injured in the incident, which happened at the Strawberry Beds at around 11:30am on Saturday.

The extent of their injuries is not yet known.

A garda spokesman told Dublin Live investigations into the incident are ongoing.

He said: "Gardaí are investigating a single vehicle road traffic collision that occurred in the Lucan area on 11/01/20 at approximately 11:30am.

"All three occupants of the car, a man aged in his 40s and two female children, were taken to hospital. The extent of their injuries are not yet known. Investigations are continuing."
