Man arrested after attempted abduction of woman in her 60s in Dublin
A woman in her 60s was approached by a man who attempted to force her into the boot of a car parked in the Dublin 7 area.A man tried to bundle the woman, aged in her 60s, into the boot of his car in the Blackhorse Avenue area at about 7.30am on Monday.

GARDAÍ IN LIMERICK have seized three suspected guns following searches in the south side of the city today.
It follows the arrest of a five people in relation to a violent disorder in the city on 4 January.
The incident took place on Lenihan Avenue, in Prospect, Co Limerick. A number of individuals armed with offensive weapons.
A full-scale investigation was launched by Gardaí which has culminated in a number of searches being carried out this morning, 14 January in the south side of Limerick city.
It resulted in the arrest of four men aged between 19 and 45, and one juvenile. They are currently detained at Roxboro Road and Henry Street Garda Stations under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.

Gardaí said they also began an investigation after shots were fired at a house in Limerick city shortly before 4.30pm on 4 January 2020 but that the arrests were made in connection with the violent disorder incident only.
This operation is being carried out by detectives from Roxboro Road with the assistance of uniform Gardaí, the Divisional Search Team, the Roads Policing Unit, and the Armed Support Unit.
The firearms were later discovered by the Divisional Search Team with the assistance of the Defence Forces. They’ve now been sent for technical examination.
No further arrests were made following this later search, and investigations remain ongoing.

Man arrested after fire at Limerick Direct Provision centre
The man appeared in court on 2 January and is due in court again next week.The fire broke out at about 8.30 am in the morning of Wednesday, 1 January at the Mount Trenchard Direct Provision centre in Foynes.
The five people were arrested this morning, with Defence Forces assisting in a search operation.
