Elderly woman found homeless on O'Connell Street after being discharged from Dublin hospital

Elderly woman found homeless on O'Connell Street after being discharged from Dublin hospital Christy Burke has slammed the hospital for discharging the woman back onto the street, and said the council quickly worked to ensure she had a bed for the night in a safe location . He told Dublin Live: "This woman should have never been discharged from the hospital. "I was out doing the homeless soup run last night, and after I headed home I got a call from Irene Coady Murphy one of the founders of Reaching Out for Homeless. "I immediately called Fran Devereux from Dublin City Council and in fairness to him he had finished work after a long day and still got her a room in a safe hotel within minutes.
