  Over 120,000 People Have Recovered From Coronavirus Around the World This is according to the latest figures from Johns Hopkins University. The virus, which was first reported in Wuhan, a city in the Hubei province of China, has spread to over 500,000 people across nearly 175 countries and claimed the lives of nearly 22,300 people.Around 81,700 cases have been confirmed in China and nearly 73,000 are reported to have recovered to date. China claims the outbreak has been largely contained, with more cases now reported outside the country than within.

Seventeen more people have died from the coronavirus in the Republic of Ireland.

And 325 new confirmed cases of Covid-19 have also been announced by the Department of Health.

There have now been 71 deaths related to the virus in the Republic.

A total of 3,235 patients here have now tested positive for the bug since the outbreak began.

Earlier on Tuesday, Northern Ireland announced six more people have died from the virus.

The Public Health Agency said that as of 11.10am on Tuesday, the total number of coronavirus related deaths in NI is now 28.

And 53 new positive cases of Covid-19 were also confirmed, bringing the total number of positive cases in the North to 586.
