They were gathered by the 37 members of the “Team Eunomie”, citizens committed to the fight against child pornography.

L’enquête a été menée par les gendarmes de la section de recherches de Versailles. © LP / Simon Gourru The investigation was carried out by gendarmes from the Versailles research section.

The two men had specialized in the robbery of Lidl stores. A method that had its flaws: caught in the act on the night of July 29 in Saint-Leu-d'Esserent, they were sentenced the next day by the court of Senlis. These two thieves of Moldovan nationality born in 1991 and 1973, were sentenced to ten months in prison with a committal warrant for the first, repeat offender, and seven months suspended for the second.

The thugs were not at their first attempt. The case began in July when the gendarmes of the Versailles research section took an interest in these two individuals based in Val-d'Oise. Both are suspected of having burgled around fifteen stores - almost exclusively Lidls - in their department but also in Yvelines, Seine-et-Marne and Val-de-Marne. A preliminary investigation is then opened.

The police arrested a 21-year-old in an investigation into violent football fans from the FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt area. He is said to have been involved in various violent crimes, in which several people were injured, some seriously, as the police in Saalfeld said on Friday. The man arrested in Gotha on Wednesday is in custody after a judge at the Gera district court issued an arrest warrant on Thursday.

The investigators decide to follow the two suspects as far as the Oise and pick them up in flagrante delicto, on the night of Wednesday July 29 to Thursday July 30, at 2:45 a.m., this time they attack the Lidl of Saint-Leu d'Esserent.

They voluntarily triggered the alarms

The process employed is quite clever. If the two men are aiming at the Lidls, it is because their buildings are not very high. This allows them to climb on the roof without a ladder, enter the store and trigger the multiple security alarms. When the police arrive on site, they can not see any break-in and think of an untimely trigger. This leaves the field open to the cronies to use jigsaws, cut the doors and enter the vault rooms where they get their hands on the money.

During the attempt at Saint-Leu-d'Esserent, the gendarmes did not miss a beat of the scene. The soldiers witness the arrival of the duo by car, their passage through the roof or even the triggering of alarms. But the burglars were then faced with a technical problem: they set off smoke and got out before they had time to steal anything. It was there that they were caught by the gendarmes, balaclavas on their heads and empty sports bags in hand.

At the end of their police custody, they were presented to the Senlis prosecutor's office, which took charge of the investigation, but only for the facts concerning the Oise and not the other departments.
