Valérie Pécresse is "very worried about the hotel and catering industry in Île-de-France"
© Europe 1 Valérie Pécresse, LR president of the Île-de-France region, warned about the consequences of the new health measures on the bars and restaurants area. "Almost a third of bars and restaurants can go bankrupt in Île-de-France," she warned. Valérie Pécresse says she is "very worried about the entire economy of the hotel and restaurant industry in Île-de-France". The LR president of the Region reacted on Europe 1 to the entry into force, Monday evening, of the closure of bars at 10 p.m.
It was an act of vandalism with anti-Semitic as well as homophobic overtones. On the morning of July 6, swastikas tagged in the night were discovered on the facades of the Banana Café and the Cox, two famous gay bars in the 1st and 4th arrondissements.
The registrations, very quickly erased by the city's services, had given rise to the filing of complaints from the two targeted establishments. The four presumed authors of these degradations (three young men and a young woman), who appeared on various CCTV images, were able to be identified.

They say they are “nationalist and racialist, but not homophobic”
A little more than three months after the events, they were arrested, simultaneously, this Wednesday, at their respective homes, in Seine-et-Marne and Seine-Saint -Denis. They are three minors (16 and 17 years old) and a young adult, barely 18 years old… who call themselves “nationalist and racialist, but not homophobic”.
According to a police source, they all admitted the facts. One of them would even have his membership in extremist circles to justify his gesture. His three accomplices would have explained to have acted "without reason"!
They released after their custody. Three of the authors of the tags will later be summoned to court for "incitement to racial hatred". The fourth was sentenced to carry out an awareness training course on the history of the extermination of the Jews, as provided for in the agreement signed between the Shoah Memorial and the Paris prosecutor's office.
