Belfast (Reuters) - The main parties of Northern Ireland have seven days to agree on a government after Arlene Foster, the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP), officially served on the Assembly of the resignation of the post of Prime Minister of the British semi-autonomous province.
Arlene Foster, criticized for his post-Brexit management, had announced on April 28 his resignation, following clashes related to the repercussions on the exit of Great Britain of the European Union, in particular the North Protocol -Inish who introduced trade barriers between Northern Ireland and the rest of the United Kingdom.

The DUP should name Paul Givan to lead the government, but if Sinn FEIN, the Republican Party with which the DUP leads the province, refuses to appoint a deputy prime minister, the executive will not be able to function and anticipated elections could ensue.
Sinn Fein calls for his partner that he moved forward a bill on the Place de la Language Irish in the British province. But Paul Givan, when he was a minister of commerce, had reduced the financing dedicated to the Irish language, provoking, according to Sinn FEIN, the collapse four years ago of a precedent Union Government.
The new DUP chief, Edwin Poots, said Monday to BBC Radio Ulster that he was "engaged in all aspects of NDNA", but that the Irish language provision could not be a prerequisite for the selection of a prime minister.
