  Russian Foreign Minister Accuses Britain Of Destroying Salisbury Attack Evidence Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has accused Britain of destroying evidence in the Salisbury poisoning attack and playing “all kinds of tricks” to change the rules of the chemical weapons watchdog. In an interview with Channel 4 News, Sergei Lavrov said the “inconsistencies in the situation with (the) Skripals are very troubling” and alleged UK authorities had exterminated evidence as part of a possible cover-up. Russia and the UK have been locked in heated exchanges since the nerve agent attack on former spy Sergei Skripal, 66, and his 33-year-old daughter Yulia in Salisbury on 4 March.

She said that either the poisoning was a “direct act of the Russian state against our country” or that Moscow had lost control of its nerve agent “Should there be no credible response, we will conclude that this action amounts to an unlawful use of force by the Russian state against the United Kingdom

Dmitry Peskov told reporters Monday that Moscow "is deeply concerned over the continuous cases of these poison elements" in Britain. Peskov added that such attacks present a danger not only inside the UK, but also in Europe as a whole.

Asked whether the death could cloud the upcoming US-Russia summit in Helsinki next week, Peskov replied that the poisoning "has not relation" to the meeting. He said "it's Britain's problem and the problem of how interested Britain is in a real investigation."

Moscow says London has declined its offers for a joint investigation into the poisonings.
