Two men found unconscious after late-night 'assault' outside nightclub in Co Donegal The incident happened at Lower Main Street in Letterkenny around 3am . Both men were transferred to Letterkenny University Hospital. However, their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening. Gardai say they suspect the men were victims of an assault. Nobody has so far been arrested in connection with the incident. It is understood that Gardai are viewing CCTV footage of the area in a bid to identify the alleged attacker. The area has been sealed off and it is expected that a forensic examination will take place shortly.

Ten minutes later, a man, who police believe is aged 18, was found stabbed less than half a mile away in Sussex Close.

Both teenagers are in a life-threatening condition in hospital, the Metropolitan Police said.

No arrests have been made and the force said the stabbings are being treated as linked.

Police said there will be an increased number of officers in the area and that a Section 60 order - which allows officers to stop and search anyone - has been authorised for the borough of Islington until 7am on Tuesday.

A 14-year-old boy was injured in a stabbing on Fairbridge Road in July last year.
