A 15 -YEAR-OLD girl has reportedly died as a car swept away after a bridge collapsed over a river in France. Several vehicles are believed to have fallen into the Tarn river after the suspension bridge fell north of Toulouse this morning.

Rescue teams equipped with diving gear were at the river. Three helicopters were also deployed.

The bridge was built in 1931.
