After the release of the video Orlando Police Chief Orlando Rolon released a statement saying Officer Turner had been fired and there was an ongoing internal investigation into the incident.

"As a grandfather myself, I understand how traumatic this incident was for the children and everyone involved," Chief Rolon added.
