Two prison sentences

On July 17, a man was sentenced to 18 months in prison, six of which are closed. It will also have to compensate the victims. The defendant attacked three firefighters, who came to the aid of an injured person at Metz station on June 27. On their arrival, the emergency services were "the subject of numerous insults and death threats before two of them were physically taken to task" , indicates the SDIS57, quoted by France 3.

Another man was tried on July 6, also in immediate appearance, by the Sarreguemines court. Two days earlier, he had attacked a firefighter from Forbach and hit him in the face, during an intervention at Behren-lès-Forbach . Other firefighters must have subdued the attacker before law enforcement intervened. A complaint had been filed. The man was sentenced to eight months in prison, including fixed fire and payment of damages to the victims.
