After confinement, some French people will live under the curfew regime: Emmanuel Macron announced the restriction from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. in several French metropolises as well as in Île-de-France , from Saturday evening. The Head of State took care to limit the application of this measure to the areas most affected by the coronavirus.
Prime Minister Jean Castex announced on Thursday the expansion of the curfew from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. to 54 departments and Polynesia, for a total of 46 million of French people concerned.
Here is the list of the departments which were already affected by the curfew measures: Bouches-du-Rhones, Essonne, Haute-Garonne, Hauts-de-Seine, Hérault, Isère, Loire, Nord, Paris, Rhône , Seine-et-Marne, Seine-Maritime, Seine-Seint-Denis, Val-de-Marne, Val-d'Oise, Yvelines.
Here are the 38 new departments: Ain, Alpes-Maritimes, Ardèche, Ardennes, Ariège, Aube, Aveyron, Bas-Rhin, Calvados, Corse du Sud, Côte-d'Or, Drôme, Gard, Haute-Corse, Haute-Loire, Haute-Savoie, Haute-Vienne, Hautes-Alpes, Hautes-Pyrénées, Ille-et- Vilaine, Indre-et-Loire, Jura, Loiret, Lozère, Maine-et-Loire, Marne, Meurthe-et-Moselle, Oise, Pas-de-Calais, Puy-de-Dôme, Pyrénées-Atlantiques, Pyrénées-Orientales, Saône-et-Loire, Savoie, Tarn, Tarn-et-Garonne, Var, Vaucluse.
