As announced by the club, a player in the 1st team received a positive test result on Thursday evening. The reason for the test were strong cold symptoms in the night from Tuesday to Wednesday.

FC 08 Homburg had already decided to suspend team training on Wednesday as a precaution and to go into voluntary quarantine.

The affected player is now "much better again", said the club. The infection probably took place in the family environment.

To what extent the case will affect the Homburgers' preparation for the restart is still unclear. The next steps are now being coordinated with the authorities. A home game against SC Freiburg II is planned for December 12th.

The topic Corona vaccine is currently on everyone's lips. Mass vaccination started in the UK on Tuesday (December 8th). All people over the age of 80, nursing home residents and medical personnel at risk should come first. At 95, Ethel Jean Murdoch also belongs to this group. The pensioner was very happy that she received a vaccination and beamed from one ear to the other when she visited the doctor, as reported by "rtl.de".
