The IOC announced at a press conference last Wednesday that the DOSB announced in February that it "will not be part of the further dialogue phase". The Australian city of Brisbane joined the dialogue instead and is now considered a big favorite to host the Games in eleven years.
DOSB President Alfons Hörmann resisted the presentation on Monday, spoke of false statements by the IOC and stated that there would be neither a meeting in February 2021 nor a formal decision by the DOSB for or against entering into the crucial dialogue ("Continuous Dialogue ") with the IOC.
The IOC pointed out, however, that there had been two meetings with the DOSB and Mronz in January. "In this context, the IOC can confirm again that the DOSB has not joined the 'Continious Dialogue'," said the IOC's announcement.
