The United States, the United Kingdom and Australia announced Wednesday the establishment of a new security and defense partnership in which Washington and London will help Australia acquire nuclear-propulsion submarines .

"I spoke with Prime Minister Scott Morrison last night," said Jacinda Ardern at a press conference. It stated that nuclear-powered submarines would not be allowed to enter New Zealand waters under the 1984 divided areas.

"No ship partially or totally powered by nuclear energy can not enter our borders," she said.
