The SEMA Show was founded in 1963—probably long before many of the exhibitors and attendees were even around. But hot rodding—taking something and making more—has been around since the 1930s. To walk the literal miles of exhibitor space that represents the SEMA Show is an assessment in one's physical condition. Having survived this self-induced exercise in, well, exercise, you are sure to see countless absolutely fascinating car, trucks, and all things in between. For the record, 2,400 manufacturing exhibitors are on site followed by the 161,000 people who pass through the show doors. (There are more than 3,300 credential-carrying journalist nerds like myself!) As for show-quality vehicles, that number has to be 500-plus! One would be hard pressed to find any indoor or outdoor car show that could match the sheer volume of outstanding quality in design and build as is found on the SEMA grounds.

As you go through this photo gallery, remember this is only a sampling of what's available on the show floor and the surrounding grounds. There are cars of elegance, cars of freakish looks, muscle cars, early street rods, custom rods, restomod, and so on. Pick the build style that floats your boat, and there will be ample examples representing your passion in the world of hot rodding.

You will see never-seen-before rides, you will see Ridler winners, AMBR winners, Triple Crown of Rodding winners, and the list goes on and on. The show brings together the best and brightest in the world of hot rod design and building. As you walk the aisles, make sure to pay attention to that individual in front of you; it may just be Chip Foose, Bobby Alloway, Troy Trepanier, Dave Lane, Eric Peratt, and I could make this list 100 names long—you get the idea. SEMA is the place to be seen, the place to show off your efforts, and the place to see the latest in trends, ideas, and oh my, craftsmanship.

From overland crushers to rock crawling rigs—are you not entertained? What we did not know is how many aftermarket parts manufacturers and shops would take on the Gladiator as a display vehicle for the almighty 2019 Specialty Equipment Market Association show in Las Vegas. At its core, SEMA, as it is known, is an industry-only trade show for some car manufacturers and many more parts makers to show off all their project cars and available parts and accessories. For insiders, SEMA is the world's biggest toy show for those crazy about cars and trucks. This year, the most popular truck at the show had to be the Jeep Gladiator.
