Dethleffs recently offered two layouts in the Esprit series. The renewed successor now has four models again, all of them a stately 7.81 meters long - two with single beds, two with queen-size beds. The two versions with longitudinal bench seating groups (DBL and EBL), in which the living area is particularly airy, are very trendy. Here you don't even have to turn the front seats during a stopover and still feel comfortable. For passengers, both lengthways sofas can also be converted into seat belts if necessary.

Let's take a look at the 7150-2 EB with a rather classic L-bench to see what has happened to the Esprit. The front of the integrated is now very similar to Trend I - family face is in. Frame windows are standard in this higher class. The extra-wide body door allows easy access. The standard SKA pilot seats, which are adjustable in many ways and optionally even air-sprung, ventilated and heated, improve comfort.

Now Aprilia has filed styling patents for its cosmetic appearance, putting a claim on the intellectual property rights to the styling of the machine that will be in showrooms sometime in 2021.

The interior is neither too light nor too dark. The wood decor with tangible grain, plus beige-gray high-gloss flaps, that pleases. Also very classy: the indirect lighting in the plinth area and above the wall cupboards. A matter of taste, but definitely modern: the marble imitation panel in the entry element, which is designed in such a way that there is also space for an optional 32-inch TV in addition to a sturdy handle, a shoe cabinet and several shelves.

Technically, Dethleffs pulls out a few stops that are rather unusual for the middle class with the new Esprit. The extras available from the factory include a macerator toilet with fixed tank, hydraulic jacks and hot water heating.

Larger double floor for winter campers

The Esprit is also ideal for winter camping fans because of its double floor. Its height has increased significantly to just under 30 centimeters, which creates space for a large through-loading compartment under the kitchen - practical for camping furniture and other small items. The rear garage is also available as an outside storage compartment. If you don't need them to transport your bike, you can choose the version with low single beds in the rear and enjoy the particularly easy entry.

With electric vehicles and hybrids gaining mainstream attention, these models exemplify the breed's best driving range, fuel efficiency, performance, and tech.

The Esprit is based on the Fiat Ducato with an Alko low-frame chassis. 140 hp are standard. The gross vehicle weight of all Esprit is 4.25 tons. The high-quality construction technology (Dethleffs Lifetime Plus), which dispenses with wood reinforcements and inserts in the sandwich walls, should guarantee a particularly long service life.

In terms of price, the Esprit starts at 84,899 euros. A GT version is optionally available, which stands out from the series model with special design elements and extensive equipment.
