buying World Bank: Energy prices remain 2022 high
The 2022 Rivian R1T Is the Most Remarkable Pickup We’ve Ever Driven
The 2022 Rivian R1T is the first mass-produced electric truck to hit the U.S. market, but that’s hardly the most interesting thing about it. Its electric powertrain notwithstanding, the R1T is unlike any pickup we’ve ever driven—part truck, part sport sedan, and 100 percent amazing. It’s been speculated that pickup buyers are too conservative to embrace electrification, but after our first drive in a pre-production Rivian R1T, both on-road and off-, we think this is the electric truck that will turn them into believers.
The strong increase in energy prices will remain high in the coming year, according to the World Bank and thus ensure inflationary pressure worldwide.
economic growth could also be partly relocated to the producers from the energy porters to producers, the World Bank explained in a report on the commodity markets. Energy prices are therefore intended to decline only in the second half of the coming year in the face of a better offer position and a slow growing demand.
«The increase in energy prices is a significant risk for global inflation in the short period and could continue to weaken growth in countries that import energy," explained World Bank Volkswirt Ayhan Kose. The rapid increase in raw material prices could make the recovery from the corona crisis more complicated. The inflation rate has increased significantly in Germany, the eurozone as a whole and also in the USA.
The prices for natural gas and coal could continue to rise in the short term in the face of low stocks, the World Bank warned. Production, for example by additional gas production in the US, will not increase significantly in the coming year, which will then lead to a weakening of prices.
