We Found this 1960 GMC truck whistling along the HOT ROD Power Tour 2018. The GM ECU and modern injectors are disguised, and the coils are hidden under Billet Specialties valve covers. To get it low, Boris relies on RideTech air springs, and he also favors the Billet Specialties rims for the rake.

A flash of Ferrari Corsa Rosso paint, a rowdy camshaft and deep baritone from the Magnaflows, and the distinct sound of the revs getting interrupted by a clutch pedal. He knew, we knew it was good. He pulled it over.

The Datsun Truck is a compact pickup truck made by Nissan in Japan from 1955 through 1997. It was originally sold under the Datsun brand, but this was switched to Nissan in 1983. Then after popping in a limited-slip, Jason took the truck home for the first time. No more than 15 miles down the road

Just when you think there are no more deals on the internet, a new community appears stocked with original owners selling cars without a markup. The place is the Swap-a-Rama Facebook group run by Boris Maryanovsky, of Euclid, Ohio. That's where regular lurker Jack Christian found this 1960 GMC in trendy rusted condition.

"Boris posted it, and five minutes later, I called him and bought it sight-unseen for $4, 500," says Christian. "You can fake patina, but it's not as good as real stuff." The truck was immediately sent to Street Machinery for the "Boris Treatment" of lowering, swapping, and sorting, so the truck could go on the HOT ROD Power Tour. That's where we caught up to him.

When Boris started to build, he suggested a 72mm turbo instead of air conditioning. There was only room for one. "The choice was easy," says Christian, "Air conditioning is overrated."

HP Monsters! The Engine Gallery from Car Craft Summer Nats

HP Monsters! The Engine Gallery from Car Craft Summer Nats Ever since the beginning, the Car Craft Summer Nationals—and before that the Car Craft Street Machine Nationals—has always been about horsepower—the more you brought, the higher your status. But car crafters aren't merely satisfied to make noise and big clouds of tire smoke; it's important to look the part, so practitioners of the hobby also take pride in their engine's appearance. And while you may understandably assume that means lots of chrome and glitter, these days it can also take form in a calculated patina, a high-tech aerospace vibe, or a devil-may-care rat rod riff.

The build took about 18 months. It has a 4L70E overdrive, a 12-bolt, and makes 550 rwhp so it was ready to do 2,500 miles on the Tour right out of the shop. "I drive it like a truck that is also a sleeper/racecar type of thing," said Christian. "I surprise people with it everyday."

Custom Dutch Fire Rescue Truck from Belgium coming to SEMA 2018.
Wesley de Saedeleer is the owner and operator of Cobblestone Customs in Berlare Belgium. After many years in the masonry business (where he got the name for his shop), Wes turned his attention to building classic, American iron. "I always modified whatever I owned." His latest build is by far one of the most unique vehicles we've ever seen and is in fact a true one-of-one. For SEMA 2018, Wes is building a 1955 Chevrolet cab-over, fire-rescue truck. The Dutch government purchased a chassis from Chevrolet back in the '50s, and was outfitted with only a complete drivetrain and cab. "Everything from the firewall back was completely handmade by a coach builder," said Wesley.
