The previous owners were contacted to recount the vehicle, and the restorers verified exactly what was done to the Plymouth during the process and how they did it.

It’s powered by a 440 cubic-inch “Six-Pack” Tri-Power V8 engine mated to a 3-speed automatic transmission that delivers 360 horsepower. The options list includes power brakes, dual exhaust with bright tips, bucket seats, painted race mirrors, hood tie-down pins, woodgrain console, AM radio, body belt, and sill moldings, and a Carb Fresh Air “Shaker” package.

This vehicle was manufactured at the Hamtramck, Michigan assembly plant, and was produced on production line 1. The actual name for the exterior color is In-Violet Metallic (for Plymouths), as Plum Crazy was strictly for Dodge. Even so, it’s an unmistakable color and a head-turner for sure.
