1953 Chevy Corvette Tribute Pays Homage To A Legend

1953 Chevy Corvette Tribute Pays Homage To A Legend The donor car provides some solid power for a great driving experience. Of all the classic American cars on the market, one that consistently fetches high prices is literally any 1953 C1 Corvette. For that reason alone, considering this 1953 Chevrolet Corvette Tribute isn’t a bad idea. It’s a far more affordable way to get the look of the car, but without taking out a third mortgage. This replica car is being offered for sale through AutoBarn Classic Cars.

This was a truck made to work hard all day long, year after year.

Saratoga Auto Auction is providing you with a chance to own one of the workhorses that helped build America’s economy after the horrors of WWII were over. This 1955 Chevrolet 3600 3/4 Ton Stake Bed looks like it’s ready for an honest day’s work, which is a refreshing deviation from the usual classic car selection. In other words, take this thing to your local car meets and you’ll really stick out.

This 1928 Cadillac Was Once Owned By Al Capone

This 1928 Cadillac Was Once Owned By Al Capone Once heavily armored, this car belonged to the world's most famous American gangster. For sale through Clasiq is this 1928 Cadillac 431A Series once owned by American gangster, Al Capone. A 341cui engine  Harry LeBreque first purchased the car in May of 1933 from Patrick Moore. Moore passed away and his surviving daughter was Pat Denning, who mentioned that her parents bought car from an agent in Chicago believed to be used by Al Capone. First believed to be bought in Connecticut, it turns out the car was purchased in Chicago. A 341cui L-head V8 engine was mated to a 3-speed manual transmission made 90 bhp.

This medium duty truck has been painted a vibrant Light Spectrum Blue Metallic, which is a real crowd-pleasing color. It also looks very classic with the white painted front bumper, grille, and headlight surrounds, which match the white hubcaps. Varnished oak wood for the bed adds a rustic element, emphasizing this is a machine designed to do things, not just sit there and look pretty.

Speaking of working hard, the 235ci inline 6-cylinder engine can pull plenty of weight. You get to have the fun of using a 4-speed manual transmission, so man and machine strive together to reach destinations near or far. There’s a spare tire mounted under the bed, just in case you run into trouble while performing a job.

Because pretty much everyone loves blue, the interior is bathed in that same color. Cloth adorns the single bench seat, with original controls and gauges completing the authentic experience.

1955 Porsche Tempo Mikafa Sport Camper Sells Beyond Estimates

1955 Porsche Tempo Mikafa Sport Camper Sells Beyond Estimates This rare camper netted a good haul in Monterey. Monterey Car Week auctions often have an eclectic, fun selection of vehicles to bid on, but the 1955 Porsche Tempo Mikafa was perhaps one of the most unusual options this year. The aluminum-bodied camper was estimated to sell for as much as $150,000, but once the hammer fell at Mecum it actually netted $187,000. While Porsches general elicit quite a bit of excitement among collectors and enthusiasts, this one was a bit of a wildcard. The unrestored Tempo Mikafa Sport Camper is one of only three ever made.

For the latter part of the 1955 model year, the Task Force Series took over for the Chevy Advanced Design Series of trucks. These trucks came with a more modern design, including a wrap-around windshield, power brakes, power steering, a 12-volt electrical system, and the headlights being located in the fenders. Being the first model year, plus the fact this truck comes with the original owner’s manual, it’s definitely historically significant and therefore well worth collecting as well as preserving for future generations to enjoy.

Wild Chevy Muscle Car and Hot Rod Photo Gallery: SEMA 2019 .
Gallery! Chevy muscle cars and hot rods make a massive presence at the 2019 SEMA Show at the Las Vegas Convention Center. There was the usual array of first-gen Camaros for the F-body enthusiasts, and there was a great mix of Chevelles, Novas, and Tri-Fives, and even a good amount of custom full-size Chevys. One car that is getting major attention is the totally custom-fabricated 1959 El Camino called "Hulk-Camino." It's one of those "love it or hate it" cars due to the extensive bodywork, but after all, this is SEMA and pretty much anything goes. And like we said, it's all about getting attention.
