The little 911 won the 1973 24 Hours of Daytona, 12 Hours of Sebring, the final running of the Targa Florio, and six of nine rounds in the 1973 European GT Championship. This massive success helped cement the Porsche 911 as a legitimate racing icon and lead to the successful racing lineage we know today.
