Ford Sport Trac Adrenalin Concept Ready To Join Your Collection Remembering the sport truck that almost was. In the early 2000s, sport trucks were taking the road by storm. Vehicles like the F-150 Lightning, RAM SRT-10, and Chevy Silverado SS were throwing powerful engines into ever fast trucks. Now with power from a V8 engine and aggressive styling, this was the small sport truck that almost was. Now you can own this special vehicle thanks to an auction happening online at Barrett Jackson.

Used car prices jump 10%, thanks to new-car coronavirus crunch

Used car prices jump 10%, thanks to new-car coronavirus crunch Inventory shortages mean you're paying a lot more for a used car compared to last year, especially if you want a pickup truck. But for those moving to the used car market, it's a tough pill to swallow, too. Data shows used car prices are up a whopping 9.5% from this time last year. In dollars, the percentage increase translates to an average price hike of $2,193. The narrative remains the same, however. As more buyers can't find a new car they want due to inventory constraints, they're looking at a comparable used car. Supply and demand shows as more buyers want a used car, prices increase.

The opportunity to own the very first 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT 500 will cross the auction block at the Barrett - Jackson Auction in Scottsdale, Arizona, on January 18, and all of the proceeds will benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's mission to find a cure for Type 1 diabetes.

“I believe this is simply the best 1965 Shelby GT350 on the planet, and the car has an incredible pedigree,” Jackson explains. “It was featured in key publicity efforts during that incredible world championship racing season. We spared no expense to make 5S553 the finest restored example of the breed at the time of restoration, and the car earned accolades that validate its authenticity.”

One of just 562 examples built for the 1965 model year, this particular car was used as a demonstrational and PR vehicle. After it was retired, it stayed in a private home in Southern Texas until 2016, when it was discovered with just 19,000 miles on the odometer. Shortly after, it was restored to factory glory with original and correctly date-coded parts.
