After Facebook recently had to do with a massive data leak, in which the user data from around 533 million members appeared in the network, Microsoft's subsidiary linkedIn with a data leak in a similar order of magnitude rules itself into the misery. As the colleagues of Golem appoints Cybernews, criminals offer the data of around 500 million social network users in a hacker forum for sale. LinkedIn has about 740 million members, so about two-thirds of all users would be affected by the data leak.

Where the data comes exactly, can not be exactly not exactly what. To prove the authenticity of the data, the criminals have published the user data of two million affected. Among them are the full names, mail addresses, telephone numbers, workplace information and other data as the links to other social media profiles. Neither LinkedIn nor Microsoft has previously been expressed to the incident.
