Buy This Six-Speed Chevy SS Before It Disappears Into a Collection Forever© eBay The SS sedan is a rare breed of car, especially with three pedals. Here's one you can own.

For the handful of years it was for sale in the US, the SS sedan was the most under-appreciated new performance car in Chevy's lineup. Based on the Australian-built Holden Commodore, it paired an unassuming four-door body with an LS3 V8 from the last-gen Corvette, sending power to the rear wheels via an optional six-speed manual. It checked all the boxes, and drove wonderfully. Few stick-shift examples were sold, and now, they're pretty hard to come by. This one just popped up for sale on eBay Motors. You should buy it before a collector scoops it up and hides it away in a hanger forever.

Welcome to You Must Buy, our daily look at the cars you really should be buying instead of that boring commuter sedan.

According to the seller, the orange color paired with the six-speed is a rare combination among the SS sedans out there. The flashy tone sort of defeats the sleeper vibe of this car, but we don't hate it. Being just two years old and having under 10,000 miles on the clock, the car is said to perform flawlessly, with no issues or signs of wear. The only imperfection is a set of light scratches along the body, shown in detail in the gallery below. Being a 2017, it's equipped with the later-style wheels, Magnetic Ride Control, and Brembo brakes on all four corners.

The car is currently listed on eBay Motors with a Buy It Now price of $42,500 or best offer. That's about what these cars sold for new, and considering the cult following they've developed, it seems prices will remain steady for the foreseeable future. Don't believe me? Just look at manual-equipped Pontiac G8 GXP prices. It'll probably sell fast, so you better move quickly.
