2020 Ducati Diavel 1260/1260 S

2020 Ducati Diavel 1260/1260 S The look, the sound, the riding position, and the torque-rich power of a cruiser motorcycle are what makes this category great for long stretches of highway and smooth, banking twists. But in order to attract riders with sportbike backgrounds to the segment, manufacturers not only have to modernize design, but also provide a superbike-like powerplant. Enter the 2020 Ducati Diavel 1260 and 1260 S. Originally introduced as simply “Diavel” in 2010, this power cruiser from the Italian manufacturer marries both elements from its assertive lines to the slightly forward footpegs and let’s not forget the 2019 upgrade to Ducati’s Testastretta DVT 1,262cc engine.

With its lines and overall bare-bones design, the 2020 Ducati Monster 821 pays homage to the Monster 900 that was born in 1993. The Monster 821 is the midsize naked bike in the Monster lineup and comes in two 2020 variants: the base model and a blacked-out counterpart, the 821 Stealth. Both Monsters are powered by 821cc L-twin claimed to pump out 109 hp. Match the power with a smoother clutch engagement thanks to the slipper clutch and the premium stopping power of Brembo brakes and you have a capable canyon carver or casual daily rider that even Ducati, back in 2015, claimed targets beginner and female riders.

2020 Ducati Monster 821 Reviews, Comparisons, And Competition

In the 2015 review, we found that “Throughout the course of a day, the big-bore Monster can start to wear on your shoulders, yet the 821 remains pleasant and easy to manage.”

In retelling his story about the design of the 900 for which the 821 is based, designer Miguel Galluzzi, said he “copied magazine photos of a bare chassis, and drew some simple lines with minimal bodywork, like bikes had been since the beginning of time. The form of what a bike should be—just enough to enjoy the ride.”

2020 Ducati Streetfighter V4/V4 S

2020 Ducati Streetfighter V4/V4 S 2020 Ducati Streetfighter V4/V4 S Reviews, Comparisons, And CompetitionIn Cycle World’s first ride review, Road Test Editor Michael Gilbert stated, “At first touch of the throttle, the Streetfighter offers a crisp and tractable power delivery as it comfortably transfers weight rearward for supreme confidence at corner exit. But hit the 7,000 rpm mark, and you’ll witness the V4 in all its glory as it lofts the front end skyward and sends your glutes into the rear cowling under hard acceleration.”Sign up here to receive our newsletters.
