2020 BMW i3: What You Need to Know The 2020 BMW i3 boasts quick acceleration, roomy front seats, and intuitive tech. That said, it has a short driving range for an electric vehicle, and its tight rear seats and awkward rear doors limit its practicality. BMW’s GS line will be fresh and more functional than ever in 2021, thanks to an update to its R 1250 GS and R 1250 GS Adventure as well as the low-displacement G 310 GS. The little adventurer hasn’t been around that long (introduced way back in 2016 but not making it to market until 2018), so timing is about right for some upgrade love.

BMW left many of the major elements alone, such as the 313cc single, the 41mm fork and rear shock, and the braking package. But targeted refinements promise a smoother and more responsive ride.

There’s absolutely no need to explain how important the BMW M3 (E30) was not only for BMW but for the entire automotive industry. A car that totally changed the performance vehicle segment and that is still appreciated for its dynamic capabilities even today. No wonder one of the best M3 (E30) examples we’ve ever seen just sold at an online auction for more than three times the starting price of a brand new BMW M4 Coupe.

Electric Vehicles are Too Damn Expensive

Electric Vehicles are Too Damn Expensive The average Josephine on the street can’t afford to step into most electric vehicles on sale in the U.S. today, Tesla CEO Elon Musk has admitted. “Our cars are not affordable enough,” Musk said during his second-quarter earnings call in July. “We need to fix that.” Electric cars and crossovers remain far too expensive to be daily commuters for the middle- and working-classes, who in congested urban areas, at least, may be turning to e-bikes instead, an electric segment in which U.S. sales spiked 92-percent in April and 137-percent in May, according to Bicycle Retailer and Industry News.

Topping the list is the introduction of ride by wire, giving riders a more responsive feeling at the throttle. Automatic idle speed was increased as well to help avoid stalling the bike out.

There’s also a new assist and slipper clutch setup, which smooths out downshifts and provides a much easier pull at the clutch. Two improvements that new riders will surely be thankful to have. Additionally, the brake and clutch levers will now be adjustable, providing the option to really fine-tune ergos at the bars.

BMW has also upgraded all the lighting, with LED headlight, indicators, and taillight all standard. The previous iteration only had LED brake lights.

Color options include a white and gray configuration; a Rally edition with trademark blue, white, and red coloring; along with a 40th-anniversary GS color scheme of yellow and black.

The G 310 GS stands out in the still limited field of small-bore adventure-touring rigs. Its fit and finish are top-notch and the little Beemer can easily hold its own against direct rivals like the Versys-X 300. No word yet on any pricing changes or expected availability.
