The Italian prevailed in the sprint race against Yamaha Pilot Toprak Razgatlioglu. Jonathan Rea (Kawasaki) came to the finish at position. BMW Pilot Jonas Folger once again experienced a disappointing race.

Jonathan Rea, Toprak Razgatlioglu and Scott Redding (Ducati) formed the first start series. Michael Ruben Rinaldi, the winner of the first race, went four into the race from starting place. He was up to second by Turn 8. It didn’t take much longer for him to assume the lead, which he grabbed from points leader Jonathan Rea on Lap 2. Razgatlioglu never looked back and got to the finish line 2.4 seconds before Rea.
