Leilani Munter's 'incredible journey' in racing to end at Daytona Leilani Munter, who forged her passion as an environmental activist on the back of a racing career, plans to retire from motorsports this month. Before stepping away from her driving career, Munter will compete in the ARCA Racing Series one final time, driving Venturini Motorsports’ No. 55 Toyota in the Feb. 9 race at Daytona International Speedway. Sunday marks the debut of a NASCAR policy that will open the Cup garage at select times for fans.

NASCAR plans to have a similar program at many tracks this season. This has been done in the Xfinity and Truck garages.

The Cup garage will be open to fans from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. ET at Daytona International Speedway. Track officials plan to distribute vouchers to those camping in the track’s infield. Those vouchers can be exchanged at the track’s UNOH Fanzone entrance for garage access.

The Cup garage will be open to fans from 4-6 p.m. ET Thursday. Fans will need a wristband to enter. Wristbands will be distributed at 2 p.m. ET on a first-come, first-served basis in the UNOH Fanzone.

Following its historic Daytona 500 1-2-3 finish on Sunday, Joe Gibbs Racing is about to share some more good news about one of its star NASCAR performers. Motorsport.com has learned that Kyle Busch has agreed terms to re-sign with Toyota’s powerhouse Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series squad in a multi-year deal that will be formally revealed in the coming days. Busch, the 2015 Cup champion, is understood to have put pen to paper at Daytona over the weekend, before his strong drive to finish runner-up to Denny Hamlin in the 500.
