The proportion of companies specifying energy and commodity prices as a risk, lying in industry, commercially and under construction on an all-time high, resulted in a DIHK stimulus survey presented on Thursday in Berlin among around 28,000 companies. At the shortage of skilled workers, the proportion in all sectors is just below the all-time high.

The companies estimated their current business situation significantly better than in early summer, Dihk-General Managing Director Martin Wansleben. However, expectations of the coming twelve months are lower than would be necessary for a sustainable catchproofing process.

As previously leading economic research institutes as well as the Federal Government, DIHK also lowered its growth expectations to 2.3 percent instead of 3.0 percent. According to the Coronabended Burglary 2020, the government expects growth in gross domestic product for this year by 2.6 percent.
