5 Things That Happened When I Ate A Big Breakfast Every Day For A Week

5 Things That Happened When I Ate A Big Breakfast Every Day For A Week I was apprehensive, but I'm a sucker for diet-related self-experimentation, so I was game to flip my eating habits on their head for potential physical and mental gain. Here's what happened when I did.

"For some reason, when I pick up a new baking book, more than cookies, more than cake, more than brownies...scones always call my name first."

That's from Baking Club member (and professional baker) Timmy Gibbons. He attributes their appeal to both their simplicity, versatility, and the fact that one can eat a scone at almost any meal. His fellow Club members clearly agree—all this month, our Baking Club is focused on Thomas Keller and Sebastien Rouxel’s Bouchon Bakery, and scones have taken over (not that we're complaining).

Why You Don’t Always Need to Adjust to a New Time Zone

Why You Don’t Always Need to Adjust to a New Time Zone And why and when you’d want to do that in the first place.Bear with us. Living in your home time zone during a trip often makes sense if you’re flying far away for, say, a short business trip. Of course, you have to consider the purpose of your travels, too. “I think it’s probably less of a threshold of how many days you’re going to be away and more about what your objective is,” says Winter. If you’re in Paris for a conference for 24 hours and you’re speaking at said conference, you likely have to be on, and would benefit from adjusting.

Lemonade Scones are the fastest and easiest scones you will ever make! Incredibly fluffy, moist scones made from scratch using only 3 ingredients – self raising flour, cream and lemonade. The secret ingredient is lemonade – but they don’t taste of lemon at all!

The scones shown above all come from Bouchon Bakery, and the Cinnamon Honey Scones, in particular, are proving to be a Club favorite. Multiple members are calling them the best scones they've ever had, and with descriptions like "to die for," "run, don't walk, to make these," and "the most tender, delicious, melt in your mouth scones." We'd recommend picking up a copy (and joining us in the Club once you do).

We wouldn't want you to miss out on stellar scones just because you haven't picked up a copy of the book yet though, so here are 13 recipes for standout scones, both sweet and savory.

Gwyneth Paltrow Is 'Basically Never Cleansing' and Eats 'Whatever I Want' for Dinner .
While people may assume that wellness guru Gwyneth Paltrow is constantly trying out the latest juice or soup cleanses, it’s actually a rare occurrence. The Goop founder says she’s usually eating whole meals, especially at dinnertime.“I’m basically never cleansing,” Paltrow, 45, says on the latest episode of The Goop Podcast, adding that she’s on a cleanse “only if I’m guinea pigging something for the website. Or, I try to do one good cleanse a year.”Instead, the mom of two largely eats what she wants, though she does go for a liquid breakfast.
