Burger King’s new ad takes a shot at a big competitor

Burger King’s new ad takes a shot at a big competitor The King is officially coming for the throne. The chicken throne, that is. Burger King’s latest commercial takes a big shot at Kentucky Fried Chicken as a means to introduce BK’s new flame-grilled chicken sandwich, and let’s just say they are really dragging KFC’s colonel through the flames. 25 Things You Didn’t Know About Your Favorite Fast Food Chains As part of the new promotion for their grilled chicken sandwich made with white meat chicken marinated with spices, and layered with lettuce, tomato, and honey mustard on a toasted potato bun, Burger King is referring to itself as “K.F.G.” If it sounds a lot like KFC, that’s on purpose.

Well apparently, it's Burger King to the rescue, because the Micky D's competitor may have just dropped its own Twix-filled milkshake.

In February, McDonalds brought back the fan-favorite Twix McFlurry, except much to our disappointment, the U.K. exclusive never made it across the pond. Now it's Burger King to the rescue, because Micky D's key competitor may have just dropped its own Twix-filled milkshake.

Though it remains missing from the IRL menu and the online BK Sweets page, nor has it been announced via social media or press release, it exists. I'm TELLING YOU. YouTube star Ian K of the Peep THIS Out channel posted a review of the shake on May 14 praising its "classic Twix flavor."

Burger King Brews Up $5 Coffee Subscription

Burger King Brews Up $5 Coffee Subscription For the price of one fancy latte, customers can enjoy an entire month of coffee.

So what was he eating exactly? It looks pretty straight forward: A vanilla milkshake with loads of Twix crumbles blended throughout and sprinkled on top. "That is amazing," he added. How could it not be, Ian????

The Fast Food Post seems to have the deets, though they remain unconfirmed at this point. According to the outlet, the shake includes "vanilla soft-serve ice cream and Twix Cookie bar pieces topped with whipped cream and more Twix chocolate pieces." And while we'll be waiting (on the edge of our seats!!!) for an official statement, Fast Food Post does note that it's a "limited-edition" offering at "participating locations nationwide."

Based on the evidence, it seems like (1) the Twix Milkshake EXISTS and (2) it's already available. So brb while I visit every last Burger King in America until I find it for myself.

Here's Every City Where You Can Get Burger King's New Impossible Whopper.
Burger King has announced the next cities that will be getting the Impossible Whopper, with a plant-based burger from Impossible Meats. © Courtesy of Burger KingFrom Beyond Day to your weird friend Dale who can't stop talking about it, plant-based meat alternatives have taken a massive stride forward. It feels like they're everywhere, and that includes a growing number of fast food restaurants. Burger King tested a meatless Impossible Burger version of its classic Whopper back in April. (And it was pretty good, especially for something that appears far more sustainable than beef.
