IHOP Just Said It's Changing Its Name Again & People Are Trolling Already

IHOP Just Said It's Changing Its Name Again & People Are Trolling Already It was about this time last year that the International House of Pancakes pulled a publicity stunt that somehow managed to take over social media for days at a time. IHOP flipped the "P" in its name to become IHOb, the International House of Burgers. The stunt was just an attempt to let people know they had burgers and not just pancakes. It didn't take long for IHOb to go back to IHOP. It has stayed that way for a blissful year of just regular old pancake slinging. But we're about to go back into the maw of the beast. The blan was to get beople talking about our new burgers. And it worked.

“Our new Crispy Buttermilk Chicken menu was developed with both quality and taste in mind, featuring all-natural chicken breasts and breast strips that are dipped in our proprietary Buttermilk batter and perfectly seasoned breading before being fried to a crispy, golden brown that’s still juicy on the inside,” said Brad Haley, Chief Marketing Officer at IHOP, in a press release.

In addition to Chicken & Pancakes, the crispy chicken lineup features other offerings like Crispy Chicken & Bacon Cheddar Waffles, a Spicy Buffalo Crispy Chicken Sandwich, and Boneless Buffalo Chicken Strips & Fries. So, IHOP isn't trying to take down chicken and waffles completely, but we see where they're going with this.
