The Cheesecake Factory is without a doubt a mover and shaker when it comes to the restaurant biz. With athat can overwhelm even the most experienced diners and a laundry list of cheesecake flavors (Reese’s for the win!), The Factory is a must-know name among foodies.
As of Wednesday, we have confirmation that the empire will be sharing its restaurant expertise with yet another chain: Samuel Fox’s North Italia. In a $353 million-dollar deal, The Cheesecake Factory acquired the title, among others, from Fox Restaurant Concepts.

This isn’t the first time Cheesecake has dealt with the restaurants; back in 2016, they became a minority stakeholder in the chain. Fox, which is based in Phoenix, told:
As we spent time getting to know one another, it was a good opportunity to monetize the company, continue to do what I do every day, and having top leadership to help run the company…A lot of our philosophy and how we do business is aligned.
The sale also gives Cheesecake ownership of Flower Child, a fast-casual take on health food. Let me tell you, IT’S DELICIOUS. With a seasonal menu, the health-conscious chain offers dairy-free, gluten-free, and vegan options. Pro tip: Get the mac & cheese. Don’t ask questions—just do it. You’ll thank us later.
As for North Italia, the restaurant specializes in pizza and pasta. Currently they have 14 brick and mortar stores, but according the website, they are slated to open six more across the country. The buy-out also included a few other restaurants, including The Henry, Blanco Tacos & Tequila, and The Arrogant Butcher.
