It’s hard to think about how the 2010s will be narrowed down into stereotypes when the decade is barely in our rearview mirror. But think about the 1980s: It had to have been more than neon-colored leotards, Ecto Cooler, Madonna and PacMan, right? Yet that’s all we remember when we throw an ‘80s-themed party. When it comes to the trends, particularly the food trends, that will come to define the 2010s, one stands out from the pack: Instagram-worthy dishes.
The One Restaurant You Need to Visit in Every State
Food presentation reached its peak, not just for chefs, but for the everyday person and wannabe influencer, in the 2010s. Go to the best restaurants around, and before people dive into their meal, they whip out their smartphones and take a quick pic for the ‘Gram. It’s not even particularly unusual to see someone taking their plate to a nearby window or whipping out a portable light at any given eatery to get the best possible lighting for their snapshot.

When you look at the most popular dishes of the decade and the foods that exploded onto the culinary scene, they all seem to have this photographable quality to them. Avocado toast, smoothie bowls, poke bowls, milkshakes topped with cake slices and candies and wild mashup dishes like ramen burgers, cronuts or sushi burritos all have a pretty or bizarre aesthetic to them that just begs to be shared with the world.
If you went to a wedding and it had a naked cake you didn’t photograph, did you even go at all?
In 20 years or so, when our children and grandchildren are throwing a 2010s-themed party for their college friends, and they ask you what foods they should set out, make sure they have White Claw, kombucha, pickle-flavored popcorn, edible cookie dough and, of course, whatever a camera phone looks like in the future at the ready. After all, those are just some of the biggest and craziest food trends of the 2010s.

The Best Bottomless Brunch Deal in Every State (Where It’s Legal)
I love brunch, you love brunch, he loves brunch, she loves brunch — we all love brunch so much it’s actually become a verb. Are you guys ready to brunch? All week, we look forward to dressing up (or down) to sit with our friends in lively spaces to socialize, eat and Instagram trendy foods, and most importantly to day-drink mimosas and bloody marys — and lots of them.
We often fantasize about fluffy buttermilk pancakes dripping with maple syrup or the sensual pop of poached egg yolk oozing down an English muffin, but there’s no denying that booze is the main attraction. Alcoholic beverages can run up quite the tab if you order by the glass, so if you want to make the most out of your Sunday fun day, you may as well go bottomless.
Buying an Instant Pot? Here's what you need to know

In an extensive search for the best unlimited drink specials, we first called alcoholic beverage authorities in every single state and Washington, D.C., to find out where such promotions are actually legal. But even in places where it’s unlawful, some establishments work around restrictions by offering drinks for as cheap as a penny. We’ll drink responsibly to that.
So scrape up the quarters between your couch cushions or sell an old family heirloom (kidding, please don’t do that) and have your designated driver drop you off at the joint with the best bottomless brunch deal in your state.
So, all-you-can-drink brunch isn’t allowable in Alabama, but there are ways to work around that. Every Sunday, this Mobile pub puts on a jazz brunch from 11 a.m. until 3 a.m. Mimosas and poinsettias (Champagne with Cointreau and cranberry juice) are just $8.50 with 1 cent refills as long as you purchase an adult entrée. I mean, how can anyone say no to Captain Crunch French toast, breakfast pizza, crabcakes Benedict or a suggestively gluttonous half-pound “Cardiologist Burger”?

There’s no shortage of bottomless drink options in California, but Overland’s might be the cheapest. Get all-you-can-drink Champagne for just $7.99 on Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. You have to purchase your meal separately, but the prices aren’t steep. Choose anything from the scroll of breakfast options, including two eggs any style with Maryland crabcakes, a chicken sausage and veggie scramble omelet, eggs Benedict with short rib, French toast, and more.
Restaurant co-owner Susan Olsen’s late great-uncle Rupert once said, “Brunch without mimosa is just a sad, late breakfast,” and we don’t disagree. Customers can go bottomless for only $9.50 on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. And if you can’t make it in on those days, you can still score a bottle of Champagne and carafe of orange juice for $14 Tuesday through Friday. Oh, and don’t miss out on the smoked Gouda grits, which have been described as “simply heavenly, like little cheesy clouds with salty snowflakes and comfy fireplace warmth.”
It’s slim pickings for drink deals in the second-smallest state, but they do exist. The Home Grown Café in Delaware runs a bottomless build-your-own mimosa promotion for $18 on Saturday and Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Choose from a variety of juices and fruit purées to add to your bubbly and drink for up to two hours. If you’re going to Cellars in Illinois, you’d better show up with an appetite because you can’t get the “nearly bottomless” mimosas or bloody marys unless you get something to eat. Chicagoans can fill up on breakfast carbonara, chipotle pulled-pork eggs Benedict, or Paulie’s special pancakes, and enjoy your fill of booze. But if you overdrink and act like a fool, someone will “put a bottom on the bottomless” and show you the door.
