Julia Child and Julie Powell - both of whom wrote memoirs - find their lives intertwined. Though separated by time and space, both women are at loose ends until they discover that with the right combination of passion, fearlessness and butter, anything is possible. Written by Columbia Pictures.

If you haven't noticed, we're big fans of Julia Child. She pioneered cooking shows as we know them with The French Chef, which began airing on PBS over 50 years ago. To this day, we're still making all of Julia Child's most iconic recipes and swooning over the tender taste of her ever-famous Boeuf Bourguignon, even if there are no more episodes to look forward to.

Now, The French Chef is coming back to PBS with a new series featuring all of her best episodes (and most famous recipes). Here's what you should know about Dishing with Julia Child!

The Show Pays Homage to Julia Child

Dishing with Julia Child is a six-part series celebrating her greatest dishes from The French Chef. It includes commentary from nine legendary culinary masters: Alain Sailhac, André Soltner, Carla Hall, Jacques Pépin, Jacques Torres, Marcus Samuelsson, Martha Stewart, Rick Bayless, Sara Moulton and Vivian Howard. The series is set to stream on PBS Living—which you can tune into using Prime Video and Apple TV—and PBS Passport on February 28.

A new show called "Dishing with Julia Child " is set to hit PBS later this month. It will feature José Andrés It's no secret that Julia Child is one of the most beloved chefs of all time. Dishing with Julia Child is part of PBS' 50th anniversary, in which they celebrate the personalities that shaped the channel. You can catch back-to-back episodes for the first three Fridays in April. Here's the schedule for Dishing with Julia Child:

  • April 3: "The Whole Fish Story" and "The Good Loaf"
  • April 10: "Your Own French Onion Soup" and "Boeuf Bourguignon"
  • April 17: "The Potato Show" and "To Roast a Chicken"

Get a Taste of Julia Child's Menu Yourself

If you really love all things Julia Child, the Beatrice Inn in New York City is serving up her most famous dish for your tasting pleasure. On June 16, the Inn will add Beef Bourguignon to its menu. The meal is a pricy $185, but if you have extra spending money, sign up here.

The Beatrice Inn will also be serving up food from other famous chefs, like Alain Sailhac, André Soltner, Jacques Pépin and Jacques Torres. Sans Julia Child, all of the chefs will be there in the flesh to talk French cuisine.
