The minimum wages listed refer to a gross amount, that is before deduction of taxes and social security contributions, which vary from one country to another. Casual workers are paid a loading of typically 25%, resulting in a minimum of A .80 per hour for those workers.

At the Aldi discounter in Switzerland there will be at least 4,440 francs (around 4065 euros) wages in the future.

The company, which belongs to Aldi Süd, announced on Thursday. The jump is not huge: it is 1.2 percent compared to the previous year. In some places there is also a higher minimum wage, up to 4648 francs for a 42-hour week. 13 salaries are paid per year.
