Real Housewives of Beverley Hills star Teddi Mellencamp celebrated her 38th birthday yesterday with an Instagram post that shows off her incredible weight loss journey. Mellencamp, who joined the RHOBH cast in 2017, shared a two-photo collage of her body before and after she lost major pounds, and we’re totally impressed.

“I remember having to step on the scale at the doctor—and the tears when the doc said, ‘Teddi, you’re 5’3” and over 200lbs,’” she wrote in the caption. Mellencamp also shared that she was stuck in a cycle of extreme dieting, dropping pounds, and gaining everything right back.

Teddi Mellencamp Shows Off Incredible Body Transformation in Stunning Pics The health and wellness coach (and the daughter of singer John Mellencamp) notes in her Instagram post that she weighed over 200 pounds in the first photo.

“Now, going into my 38th year with four years of consistent commitment to my lifestyle,” she added. “I am grateful that at this age of 38 I now know that healthy living isn’t a diet—it’s a lifestyle.”

Weight fluctuation has been an ongoing battle with Mellencamp, who has opened up in the past about her struggle to lose baby weight. “I had 10 years of feeling pretty comfortable in my skin and then I got pregnant and I stopped riding horses,” she told NBC News. “During my first pregnancy, I gained about 80 pounds. And then my second pregnancy, I gained another 80 pounds, but I hadn’t really lost it all after the first.”

The mom of two said that she experienced a shift one year after her youngest son Cruz was born, learned how to say “no,” and began to hold herself accountable for her health.

“Four years I have been All IN—no yo-yo [dieting],” she wrote in her recent Instagram post. Instead, Mellencamp now loads up on nutrient-rich foods, like whole grain bread with egg whites, veggie-rich salads, fruits, fiber-filled legumes, lean proteins like chicken, and lots of water.

In another post, she wrote in the caption that her own hard work has gotten her to her goal weight: “There is no magic pill or potion that helped me reach my goals but being held accountable and holding myself accountable made all of the difference in the world to me.”

While she did consider getting a tummy tuck, Mellencamp created an Instagram account called @goallinbyteddi that changed her life. She encouraged 30 of her closest friends to follow the account and asked them to make sure that she exercises and posts what she’s eating each day. She told her friends, “Hey, guys. I’m on here, because I’m going to work out everyday. And call me out on it if I don’t.”

Although she has been successful in reaching her health goals, Mellencamp admits that it’s an ongoing journey that will always have challenges. “When we stop coming up with reasons why we can’t do something and just take action, great things happen,” she wrote in an Instagram post from March.

Today, the RHOBH star is proud to show off her weight loss transformation and hopes to help others look and feel their best. “I think women of all shapes and sizes are beautiful when they are feeling confident and comfortable in their own skin,” she wrote in the caption of a post from 2017, when she was struggling with weight fluctuations. At 38, the star is glowing and looks confident, happy, and strong.
